A hand coloured etching by Richard Dighton, who was best known for his numerous portraits of City and West End characters. Peter Robert Drummond-Burrell (né Burrell), 2nd Baron Gwydyr, 22nd Baron Willoughby de Eresby. Son of Sir Peter Burrell, 1st Baron Gwydyr (1754-1820), he succeeded his father in 1820 as 2nd Baron Gwydyr, a title assumed by his father in 1796 by virtue of his marriage in 1779 to Priscilla Barbara Elizabeth Ancaster, who was heiress to the title of Baroness Willoughby de Eresby. Entered Parliament as MP for Boston in Lincolnshire in 1812 and in 1820 he succeeded to his father and entered the House of Lords. Eight years later, he succeeded his mother, becoming Baron Willoughby de Eresby and Joint Heredity Lord Great Chamberlain.
