Antique woodcut engravings which were published in "The Illustrated London News" on December, 18th, 1880, with later hand colouring. Views include - 1. View of the Penygraig Colliery. 2. The Down Shaft Explorers descending. 3. Explorers crawing between the fallen debris and the roof. 4. Bringing the dead to the bottom of the Shaft. 5. Carrying the dead through the village of Trealaw.
