Seale and published in 1744 with later hand colouring. One of many interesting comments made on this map refers to Loch Ness - "This Loch never frezeth but retaineth its natural Heat". Inset map of 'The islands of Shetland' in top left corner. Right vertical margin extended and repaired tear extending from right margin 13cms into image from Aberdeen.
