An antique plan showing the 23 forts joined by walls around the city and the area destroyed by the Great Fire of 1666. The defences were built to protect the city from attacks by Charles I and his 15, 000 Royalist troops. Published in 'The Gentleman's Magazine' June 1749 with later hand colouring. Very narrow margins all round. Includes free mounting on request.
