An antique Canal Map which was engraved by Thomas Bowen which shows the then planned Canal branching off from the River Lagan and built to connect Belfast to Lough Neagh, which was opened in sections between 1763 and 1794. The plan shows many villages and towns, bridges, buildings, and rivers. A Table of Irish distances including chains at bottom of plan. Published by Sylvanus Urban in the 'Gentlemans Magazine' in 1778.
