An antique battle plan depicting one of the most famous battles in the war between the English and Dutch engraved by Daniel Stoopendaal. The panorama shows the city and river of Rochester Chatham, under siege by Dutch Admiral Michiel De Ruiter, June 19th -23rd, 1667. A bird's eye view of the city and river, with numerous ships in battle. Two villages along the river are burning. A British army arrives over land to stop the Dutch from landing more soldiers. Circa 1700 with early hand colouring.
