An antique plan of "Battle of Borodino 7th September, 1812" by Alexander Keith Johnston. F.R.G.S. published by William Blackwood and Sons in 1848 with original colouring. The plan shows the positions of the French and Russian Infantry, Cavalry and Artillery. The Grande Armée won the battle against the Imperial Russian Army with casualties in a ratio 2:3, but failed to gain a decisive victory.
