An antique plan of "Battle of Camperdown...." by Alexander Keith Johnston. F.R.G.S. published by William Blackwood and Sons in 1848 with original hand colouring. Shows the positions of the British and Dutch fleets. The battle was the most significant action between British, commanded by Admiral Adam Duncan, and Dutch forces during the French Revolutionary Wars and resulted in a complete victory for the British, who captured eleven Dutch ships without losing any of their own.
