An antique plan of "Battle of Echmühl 22nd April, 1809 " by Alexander Keith Johnston. F.R.G.S. published by William Blackwood and Sons in 1848 with original colouring. The plan shows the positions of the Cavalry, Artillery and Infantry of the French and Austrians. Napoleon was able to defeat the principal Austrian army and wrest the strategic initiative for the remainder of the war.
