An antique plan of "Battle of Fleurus..." by Alexander Keith Johnston. F.R.G.S. published by William Blackwood and Sons in 1848 with original colouring. The plan shows the positions of the French and the Austrian Cavalry, Infantry and Artillery before and during the battle. The Battle was a decisive French victory, and they had the unprecedented advantage of aerial reconnaissance, as a hydrogen balloon, Entreprenant, floated above the battlefield and influenced the result of a battle. .
