An antique plan of the "Battle of Marengo 14th June, 1800 Sheet 2" by Alexander Keith Johnston. F.R.G.S. published by William Blackwood and Sons in 1848 with original colouring. The plan shows the Cavalry, Infantry and Artillery of the French and the Austrians. The French defeated Austrian General Michael von Melas's surprise attack, driving the Austrians out of Italy, and enhancing Napoleon's political position in Paris.
