An antique plan of "Battle of Medina de Rio - Seco 14th July, 1809." by Alexander Keith Johnston. F.R.G.S. published by William Blackwood and Sons in 1848 with original colouring. The plan shows the positions of the Cavalry, Infantry and Artillery of the French and Spanish. The battle resulted in the defeat of the only Spanish army capable of threatening the French advance.
