An antique plan of "Battle of Vimeira 21st August, 1808." by Alexander Keith Johnston. F.R.G.S. published by William Blackwood and Sons in 1848 with original colouring. The plan shows the positions of the Allies and the French, Cavalry, Infantry and Artillery. The British under General Arthur Wellesley defeated the French and put an end to the first French invasion of Portugal.
