An antique plan of "Battles in fron of Bayonne. 10th - 13th December, 1813" by Alexander Keith Johnston. F.R.G.S. published by William Blackwood and Sons in 1848 with original colouring. The plan shows the positions of the Allies and the French Cavalry, Infantry and Artillery. Arthur Wellesley's Anglo-Portuguese and Spanish army defeated Marshal Nicolas Soult's French army on French soil in a series of battles near the city of Bayonne with some of the fiercest fighting of the Peninsular War
