Huntingdonensis comitetus Huntingdon Shire. An antique map by Joannes Blaeu published in his "Theatrum Orbis Terrarum sive Atlas Novus". Published in 1645 with original hand colouring. Decorative title cartouche surmounted by 2 hunters and surrounded by their"Bag" of game; Royal crests; nine coats of arms, plus one blank held aloft by putti. On the right hand side of the map is a fine Coat of Arms with no name. Some staining in the margins.
