An antique map of the South Wales from "Bowles's New Medium English Atlas". The map is based on that by Emanuel and Thomas Bowen, published by Thomas Kitchin in "Atlas Anglicanus" in 1767. The title appears within a circular panel bearing the imprint of Carington Bowles No. 69 in St. Pauls Church Yard. Beneath the map is a further imprint 'Published as the Act directs, 3 Jan. 1785' with full original colouring. Around the map are interesting engraved notes pertaining to each of the counties shown. Laid on card. Includes free mounting on request.
