Finely engraved map by Jacques Nicolas Bellin of Sherbro Island at the entrance to the Sherbro River in present-day Sierra Leone. The coastal chart shows soundings and sand bars and is decorated with an engraved title cartouche, part of a compass rose and rhumb lines. Published by DIDOT, Paris, 1747.
