Cornubia sive Cornwallia An antique map of Cornwall from Jansson's atlas of the world "Novus Atlas sive Theatrum Orbis Terrarum". The map is enriched with allegorical figures and attributes representing the economical and cultural character of the province. In this case these are rough, bearded miners referring to the mining industry. Also in this map we find compass roses in sea areas, coats of arms of the noble families with nine armorials, one left blank. Circa 1646 with Latin text on verson.edition. Age toning in the margins.
