Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington (1769 - 1852) defeats Indian leader Dhoondiah Waugh at the battle of Conaghull in India, 10th September 1800. Wellimgton, with command of four regiments, defeated Dhoondiah's larger rebel force, along with Dhoondiah himself who was killed in the battle.
