An antique copper engraving of the East south east view showing a large stone building, three storeys high, of the Early Jacobean period. It stands in a walled court-yard surrounded by a moat, with octagonal towers at each angle. Inscribed to William Jollife of Caverswall by R. P. L. L. D., [Robert Plot]. Drawn and engraved by M. Burghers and published in `The Natural History of Staffordshire,' by Robert Plot in 1686 with later hand colouring. Few repairs to centrefold.
