This antique map, engraved by R. Spofforth, is from an edition of "A New Sett of Maps Both of Antient and Present Geography" published by Edward Wells M.A. Oxon, in 1743. Shows the northern part of Africa in ancient times and depicts the northern coastlines of Africa with North orientatet to the left with the eastern part of the coastline from Morocco to Cyrenaicae (Libya) featured on the left half of the map. The right part of the map shows the Mediteranean coastline from Libya to the Red Sea.. Many ancient cities are identified, including Thebes, Memphis, Babylon, Alexandria and many others.
