Plan of the environs of London designed,drawn and engraved by John Dower for Illustrated London News ca. 1851. A very decorative and large map of the environs of London with about a hundred vignettes of notable views and buildings, including Epsom and Ascot races, Greenwich and Crystal Palace, inset within the map. On the reverse is a large engraving of the French Emperor and Empresses arrival at Windsor Castle. Several vertical and horizontal folds and one marginal repair.
