Antique woodcut engravings drawn by H. Petherick which were published in "The Illustretd London News" on March 1st, 1890. The illustrations depict old jobs or roles in London in olden times. They depict Turnpike Man, City toll taker at Algate, Touter at Doctor's Commons, Buy a broom girl, Bell Postman, Picker up of horse shoe nails in the street, Dustman with bell, Puppet show "Fantoccini", Ward Beadle going to inspect Weights and Measures, The Old Watchman, Dancing Bear, and Cart drawn by dogs.
