Bottom left of the image is the suggestion "for the origin of the word consult the ‘Johnnesonian Dictionary Edition of 1799" which is believed to allude to Thomas Johnes (1748-1816), Translator, farmer, landscape architect; owner of the Hafod, Cardiganshire and politician; MP for Cardiganshire and Radnorshire.
