A caricature by James Gillray, London published by John Miller, Bridge Street and W.Blackwood, Edinburgh. Circa 1820 with later hand colouring. Sitter identified as James Birch Lieutenant in the First Life Guards. He was made a Captain of that regiment in February of 1798 and a Major & Lieutenant-Colonel in September 1808.
