This antique strip map shows the 'The Road from London to Aberystwyth. This is Plate 11 from Senex's "Actual Survey of all the Principal Roads of England and Wales". It was published in 1757 and contained one hundred maps reduced from John Ogilby's "Britannia" of 1675. This map shows the section from London to Brentford to Hounslow to Colnbrook to Maidenhead to Twiford to Reading to Theal to Woolhampton to Thatcham to Newbury Hungerford to Ramsbury to Marlborough. Plate 10 is on the verso, showing the route from Morpeth to Alnwick toBelford to Berwick. Includes free mounting on request.
