This antique strip map shows the 'The Road from London to Aberystwyth. This is Plate 15 from Senex's "Actual Survey of all the Principal Roads of England and Wales". It was published in 1757 and contained one hundred maps reduced from John Ogilby's "Britannia" of 1675. This map shows the section from London to Brentford to Hounslow to Colnbrook to Maidenhead to Henley to Dorchester Abingdon. Plate 14 is on the verso showing the route from Banbury to Stratford to Kidderminster to Bridgnorth and the route from Banbury to Shipton-on-Stour to Campden. Includes free mounting on request.
