This antique strip map shows the 'The Road from London to Aberystwyth. This is Plate 25 from Senex's "Actual Survey of all the Principal Roads of England and Wales". It was published in 1757 and contained one hundred maps reduced from John Ogilby's "Britannia" of 1675. This map shows the section from London to Brentford to Stanes to Bagshot to Hartley Row to Basingstoke to Andover. Plate 26 is on the verso showing the route continuing from Andover to Salisbury to Shaftsbury to Milborn Port to Sherborn to Yeovilto Crokkhorn. Includes free mounting on request.
