This antique strip map shows the 'The Road from London to Aberystwyth. This is Plate 1 from Senex's "Actual Survey of all the Principal Roads of England and Wales". It was published in 1757 and contained one hundred maps reduced from John Ogilby's "Britannia" of 1675. This map shows the section from London to Acton to Uxbride to Beconsfield High Wickham to Tetsworth to Wheatly Bridge and Oxford to Islip. Plate 2 is on the verso showing the route continuing from Islip to Chipping Norton to Mortoninmarsh to Broadway to Pershore to Worcester to Bramyard. Includes free mounting on request.
