Detailed town plan from this reissue of John Stow's important London survey. Includes "The Monument or Pillar where the fire began" built to commemorate the Great Fire of 1666. The map was likely engraved by Richard Blome. Tables at right provide a numbered key to the plan. This map covers the area of Cannon Street and Eastcheap, and Lombard and Fenchurch Street, and the Monument.
