An antique "Map of the Operations which led to the Capitulation of Ulmin October, 1805." by Alexander Keith Johnston. F.R.G.S. published by William Blackwood and Sons in 1848 with original colouring. The plan shows the position of the French and Austrian Cavalry, Infantry and Artillery. A series of skirmishes, at the end of the Ulm Campaign, allowed Napoleon I to trap an entire Austrian army with minimal losses and to force its surrender near Ulm in the Electorate of Bavaria.
