An antique aquatint engraving of the 'Moorish Arch', at Edge Hill, Liverpool' by S.G. Hughes, after Thomas Talbot Bury, published by Rudolf Ackermann, Strand in 1832 with original hand colouring. This print is the tenth in a series of aquatints to commemorate the opening of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway on 15 September 1830. A fine example of the first edition with full margins. George Stephenson was asked to build this Arch over the line at Edge Hill cutting.
