A scarce antique tinted lithograph by J. MacCahey after W. Herdman published in June, 1860. The Road is now known as William Brown Street. Originally a coaching road in the east of the city, and named after William Brown, a local MP and philanthropist, who in 1860 donated land in the area for the building of a library and museum. Laid on card and lightly stained and spotted as shown.
