Three woodcut engravings which were published in "The Illustrated London News" on June 20th, 1846. Top engraving shows 'The Colchester Station', middle shows 'Brantham Bridge and Cutting' and the bottom engraving shows 'The Stour Viaduct'. Also includes an account of the opening of the line which extended from Colchester to Ipswich.
