This was a major battle of the War of the Spanish Succession.This map has two paper overlays pasted to it. When both overlays are folded away, the reader sees the positions of troops at the start of the battle. When the first one is folded down over the map, later positions are shown. When both are folded down, their positions in the evening are shown. Original colour.
