This miniature antique map of Caernarfonshire was produced as a playing card map by Robert Morden in 1676. This map together with the whole of Mordens pack of cards were republished in 1773 by H. Turpin in a book entitled " A Brief Description of England and Wales". This later state of Morden's playing card maps lacks the suit markings. Trimmed to the plate edge and mounted, as issued.
