This miniature antique map of Cardiganshire was produced as a playing card map by Robert Morden in 1676. This map together with the whole of Mordens pack of cards were republished in 1773 by H. Turpin in a book entitled " A Brief Description of England and Wales". This later state of Morden's playing card maps lacks the suit markings. Original outline colour and is trimmed to the plate edge and mounted, as issued. Very good impression. Age toned around edges. Roman Numeral VI. Includes free mounting on request.
