A map of Bedfordshire from "An English Atlas or a Concise View of England and Wales..... " by Robert Sayer. Published 1st August 1787 with later hand colouring. Maps from this atlas are reprints of the forty eight county maps published by Kitchin and Jeffreys in 'The Small English Atlas' in 1749 and at the bottom of each, outside the border lines are notes showing Fairs, Market Days, Members returned to Parliamet etc. The shading around the boundary of most of the maps has the effect of giving the county the appearance of an island. Includes free mounting on request.
