An antique county map of the county of Surry engraved by Wenceslaus Hollar from the atlas "England Exactly Described or a Guide to Travellers" by Thomas Taylor. This map was published before the later plates which show roads and distances between towns are included. This plate carries the name of Richard Blome in the Title cartouche, and the arms of Sir Richard Onslow are substituted for those of Sir Robert Clayton. Signed by Wenceslaus Hollar (bottom left) and the name of Rich. Blome Ao. 1667 appears in the panel of hundreds. Circa 1715. Fine condition. Includes free mounting on request.
