Antique woodcut engravings which were published in "The Illustrated London News" on February 10th, 1883 with later hand colouring. Top engraving shows the Marquis 'Laying the Memorial Stone of the New Infirmary at Cardiff' and the bottom shows him 'Commencing the works of the New Dock at Cardiff : Starting the Steam Digger.
