An antique mezzotint engraving. Subject is holding his scholar's hat in his right hat and a handkerchief in his left, wearing a surplice and academic gown. Inscription reads 'Principal of Brasenose College Oxford &c &c &c' and 'Painted by Frank Holl Esq R.A. Published 15th,, April 1882, by Ryman & Co,, Printsellers to H.M. the Queen & Royal Family 24 & 25 the High Street'. Engraved by R. Josey, Esq. Printed by E. & A. Holdgate.' Laid on card with some surface dirt, foxing and water damage to bottom.
