An antique lithograph by R.K. Thomas and Day & Son Lithographers to the Queen. "Length of span between the points of Suspension 560 feet - Total length of the Bridge 910 feet. Entire lenth of the Chain, from the Fastening in the Rock 1710 feet. Total weight of Iron 2186 Tons, 1280 lbs. Height of Roadway above the Sea - 100 feet." The bridge was built between 1818 and 1826 and was designed by Thomas Telford (1757-1834)
