An antique woodcut engraving which was published in "The Illustrated London News" on 11th February 1843 with later hand colouring. Relates to the 'Rebecca Riots' in parts of Cardiganshire, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire which was a protest against tollgate charges on public roads and the destruction of gates and tollhouses between 1839-1843.
