An antique town plan of Chester "Etched by William Butenham from an original map by the celebrated Wenceslas Hollar for Hemingway's History of Chester. 1831" Together with 'The Pospect of Chester the south-west side' and a small inset map of Cheshire (bottom left). It is embellished with the Arms of Chester, the Arms of the Earls of Chester and nine Arms of the Barons of the County Palatinate of Chester. In the bottom right hand corner is an engraving of a Roman Altar found in Chester in 1653 plus coins.
