Antique black and white engraved map by Benjamin Cole. Its title features in a rococo cartouche at top left, with the arms of Thomas Chitty Esq. Alderman of Tower Street Ward at left centre. Inset views of East India House in Leadenhall Street and The Entrance of Westminster Hall appear in panel below the plan. Originally engraved for the part-work edition of William Maitland's "History of London" (London : 1753-1756) Age toned and has many small tears in right verticalmargin and repaired tears in other margins..
