An antique map of the Burgundy wine region in France by Jan Jansson. Published in his "Novus Atlas, sive Theatrum Orbis Terrarum......" Circa 1650 with original hand colouring. Latin text on verso. Embellished with a bold title cartouche flanked by soldiers and coats of arms, and a strapwork distance scale cartouche. The Soane River flowing from north to south almost divides this map into the two parts of Burgandy at the time.
