Six woodcut engravings which were published in "The Illustrated London News" on June 22nd, 1872, with later hand colouring. Views include :- 1. Gateway of Hougoumont. 2. Monuments on the Battle Field. 3. Kitchen Carden of Hougoumont. 4. Summit of the mound, with Belgian Lion. 5. Courtyard of Hougoumont. 6. Shattered tree near the orchard of Hougoumont. These were published almost fifty seven years to the day of the battle, which took place on 18th June, 1815. An account of the battle commences at the top left of this page and continues overleaf.
