An antique plan which was published in "Plans of Birmingham and Vicinity, Ancient and Modern" in 1884. 'The above Plans were copied, printed and several of them reduced, by order of the Public Works Committee of the Town Council of the Borough of Birmingham, from Plans in the Public Offices and others lent by several Gentlemen. The original was "Published according to the Act of Parliament by Thos Jeffrys at the corner of StMartins Lane, Charing Cross London April 29 1751." It shows the town growing to the north and west. It shows a new Anglican chapel, several new non-conformist meeting houses and the towns first brasshouse.
