An antique county map of Devonshire from "Smith's New English Atlas...." Engraved by Gardner and published 1828 - 1833 with contemporary outline colouring. The maps from this atlas are similar in construction to those in Cary's 'New and Correct English Atlas, 1787'. The roads are the principal feature in this map and it was published before the addition of railways in 1844..
