An extremely rare miniature county map which was published in John Bill's "The Abridgement of Camden's Britania..." in 1626, with later hand colouring. It was the only edition of this now rare atlas. These were the first county maps to show longitude and latitude and look rather like Pieter van den Keere's maps but are much more difficult to find and sought after by collectors. Somer surface dirt.

An antique map of England that includes the counties of Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, and the Welsh counties of Glamorgan, Monmouthshire, Carmarthenshire, Penbrokeshire, Cardigan. Published in Gerard Mercator’s Atlas "Historia Mundi or Mercators Atlas" and printed by T. Cotes. This particular impression appeared in the 1637 edition of "Historia Mundi" published by Michaell Sparke. Sparke supplemented the original titles with English titles in the left margin. A scarce English language edition. English text on verso with later hand colouring.

A miniature antique county map by John Cary and like all his work work, the engraving is extremely fine, and although it is a small map it is clearly defined. London, Published by G. & J. Cary, No. 86 St James's Str. Published in 1824 with original hand colouring. The title is at the top with a semicircular compass above. At the bottom there is a table of distances from London. They came about at a time when roads were being used as never before, and therefore the need for accurate road maps was imminent. Good margins and fine condition.
